Q: What sparked your interest to focus in obstetrics and gynecology?
A: I really enjoy advocating for women and helping them through all stages of life. I enjoy seeing patients in the office and then also being able to do surgeries, deliver babies and do minor office procedures. Every day in this field is different and interesting!
Q: What interested you to come work for St. Clair Health?
A: I became interested in working at St. Clair because I wanted to work for a smaller hospital, but one with a vast amount of resources where I would know my colleagues and other hospital staff well. In addition, I wanted to work in a group that I felt would support me through the transition from resident to attending and foster an environment where I could continue to learn and grow, which I have found at St. Clair. Finally, I wanted to work at a hospital that felt like it was a part of the surrounding community.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: It is hard to pick just one! I love trying new foods and learning how to make them! Most recently during my family trip to Italy, I took a pasta-making class taught by a local Italian husband and wife, which was very interesting and fun! I am looking forward to making pasta at my new home in Pittsburgh.
Q: What is your favorite holiday and why?
A: I would pick Christmas as my favorite holiday. I love all of the special memories, traditions and experiences associated with it and new memories and traditions now with new babies in the family! I am excited to go to the Christmas market in Market Square this year now that I am back in Pittsburgh!
