This course is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn how to practice important safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and treat illnesses and injuries. Some classes even teach CPR. In addition, students learn important business skills such as how to screen jobs, set a wage, and work with employers.

We are pleased to offer Safe Sitter, appropriate for grades 6-8..   This class is offered from 10am-3:30PM.   Students should pack a lunch and bring a water bottle.

We are pleased to offer a Hybrid class for Safe Sitter.   Your student will attend both the morning session via Zoom and the afternoon session in person.   The morning session will cover topics from our Safe Sitter Booklet while the afternoon will provide hands on instruction for important rescue skills taught by a registered nurse.  This class is ideal for ages 11-14.

This class has limited capacity due to room restrictions.

Morning Zoom portion will be 9:30a.m.-12 p.m. 

 Afternoon, in person, skills training will be 1:30-4 p.m.

Students will attend both sessions.
