Oncology Speaker Series

St. Clair Health opens a new journey to our oncology patients, family members and caregivers in the community to participate in. Join us during our Oncology Speaker Series to learn about topics including nutrition, health diets, exercise, types of cancers, support groups and survivorships resources and so much more! On July 18th beginning at 6:00 pm, our team of experts with be presenting on how cancer impacts the pelvic floor and how to manage urinary urgencies, how speech pathologist can help you if you have head or neck cancer, and brain-fog associated with brain tumors and chemotherapy.

Parking and Directions:

Please go to 1000 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh PA and park in the Hospital’s main visitor parking garage that’s connected to the Professional Office Building entrance. Walk through the professional office building to the main lobby and that the elevator to the 4th floor.

On March 21st beginning at 6:00 pm, our team of experts with be presenting on nutrition and exercise tips. To end the session, you’ll have the chance to have a Q&A with our cancer center physicians.

Topic: Nutrition and Exercise

  • Ideas for nourishing your body with healthy food and healthy movement during and after treatments
  • Learn more about current diet recommendations to follow as a cancer survivor. We’ll be focusing on changes that are sustainable and part of a healthy long term lifestyle. We’ll be also be busting some commonly heard myths with diet and cancer!

Massage Therapy:

Did you know that hand massages reduce stress and provides relaxation for cancer patients? A soothing touch of the hands or a gentle and comforting foot rub. For a cancer patient going through treatment, massage can make a difference. It can even ease anxiety for patients.

We encourage you to sign up for complimentary wellness treatments at each of our speaker series events.
