Parking

St. Clair Hospital’s main parking facility is the visitor parking garage, located at the rear of the Hospital. Access to this parking garage is available from North Wren Drive or Segar Road. Dunlap Family Outpatient Center’s parking garage is accessible via North Wren Drive. Parking is located underneath the building.

Visitors may briefly stop to pick up or discharge a passenger at the main Hospital entrance off Bower Hill Road, the rear Hospital entrance accessible from North Wren Drive, or the main Dunlap Family Outpatient Center entrance off North Wren Drive. When picking up a discharged patient, please wait to pull your vehicle into the driveway until the patient is in the lobby. Standing traffic in these areas hinders traffic flow and creates a hazard for pedestrians and police/fire vehicles.

NOTE: St. Clair Hospital Police will issue citations to those who violate parking and traffic regulations, such as parking in a handicapped area, parking in fire zones, parking on sidewalks, or exceeding the speed limit of five miles per hour on Hospital property.

Parking Payment

Parking Rates in the St. Clair Hospital Visitor Garage and Dunlap Family Outpatient Center Parking Garage:

  • Less than 1 hour: FREE
  • 1 – 2 hours: $4.00
  • 2 – 3 hours: $5.00
  • 3 – 4 hours: $6.00
  • Greater than 4 hours: $7.00
  • Lost tickets will be charged the full $7.00 rate.

Pay Station Locations:

When entering to park, please take your parking ticket with you and pay at one of the pay stations located throughout the main campus when you are leaving to return to your vehicle. Pay stations accept cash, as well as credit and debit cards.

  • Fourth Floor Hospital Lobby, across from the Cashier’s Office
  • First Floor of the Professional Office Building entrance
  • First Floor of the Hospital, near the Information Desk
  • Third and Fourth Floor Lobbies in the Dunlap Family Outpatient Center

Valet Parking

Effective Monday, October 2, 2023, valet parking will once again be offered at the rear Hospital entrance accessible from North Wren Drive. This service will be available between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for a cash fee of $7. This fee can be paid to the valet parking attendant upon your arrival. If you are still at the Hospital past 4:00 PM, keys can be picked up at the Information Desk on the first floor of the Hospital so you can retrieve your vehicle from the visitor parking garage.

St. Clair Hospital offers a free van service to patients having difficulty securing transportation to our facilities and services. Learn More

Public Transportation

St. Clair Hospital is served by bus routes 41B Bower Hill and 44U Mt. Lebanon Oakland. To obtain a current bus schedule, please contact the Port Authority of Allegheny County at 412.442.2000 or visit www.portauthority.org.

Directions

From Downtown Pittsburgh

  • Cross the Fort Pitt Bridge and travel south on I-376 through the Fort Pitt Tunnels.
  • Take the Banksville Road/US-19 South exit (5A) toward US-19 Truck South/PA-51 South/Uniontown.
  • Merge onto US-19 South toward Mt. Lebanon.
  • Turn right onto Beverly Road/US-19.
  • Turn left onto US-19/Cochran Road (Yellow Belt).
  • Turn right onto Bower Hill Road. St. Clair Hospital will be on the right at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

From Pittsburgh International Airport I-376

  • Travel toward Downtown Pittsburgh on I-376 (Parkway West).
  • Take exit 65 toward PA-50 West/Carnegie.
  • At first traffic light, turn left (by Synagogue).
  • Turn right onto Green Tree Road.
  • Green Tree will deadend; turn left onto Cochran Road.
  • Turn right onto Bower Hill Road. St. Clair Hospital will be on the right at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

South on I-79 – from Crafton

  • Take exit 55 (Heidelberg/Collier).
  • Turn right at traffic light onto PA-50/Washington Pike.
  • Enter the left lane.
  • At .5 miles, turn left onto Vanadium Road (across from Peter’s Place).
  • Turn left onto Bower Hill Road (Orange Belt).
  • St. Clair Hospital will be on the left at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

North on I-79 – from Washington

  • Take Exit 54 toward PA-50 Bridgeville/South Fayette.
  • Keep right at the fork onto PA-50 East/Millers Run Road.
  • Turn left onto PA-50/Washington Pike; continue to follow PA-50.
  • Turn right onto Bower Hill Road (Orange Belt).
  • Continue to follow Bower Hill Road.
  • St. Clair Hospital will be on the left at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

South – from Century III area

  • Take Route 51 North toward Pittsburgh.
  • Exit at the cloverleaf to Curry Hollow Road/Lebanon Church Road (Yellow Belt).
  • Turn right onto Curry Hollow Road, follow Yellow Belt.
  • Turn right onto Library Road/Route 88.
  • Turn left onto Connor Road.
  • Connor Road becomes Gilkeson Road.
  • Turn slight right onto Cedar Boulevard.
  • Turn left onto Lindendale Drive.
  • Turn left onto Greenhurst Drive.
  • Turn left onto Bower Hill Road. St. Clair Hospital will be on the right at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

South – Brentwood, Carrick, Castle Shannon

  • From Route 51 take Brownsville Road south to Whitehall.
  • Stay straight onto Baptist Road.
  • Turn right onto Grove Road at Caste Village.
  • Turn left onto Library Road/ Route 88.
  • Turn right onto Castle Shannon Boulevard and follow to Scott Road.
  • Continue on Scott Road to Route 19-South, Washington Road.
  • Turn left onto Washington Road to Mt. Lebanon.
  • Turn right onto Bower Hill Road (near St. Bernard Church).
  • St. Clair Hospital will be on the right at 1000 Bower Hill Road.

South – from South Park and Library

  • Head North on Route 88/Library Road toward Pittsburgh.
  • Turn left onto Connor Road (Yellow Belt).
  • Connor Road becomes Gilkeson Road.
  • Turn slight right onto Cedar Boulevard.
  • Turn left onto Lindendale Drive.
  • Turn left on Greenhurst Drive.
  • Turn left onto Bower Hill Road. St. Clair Hospital will be on the right at 1000 Bower Hill Road.
