Cardiology Services

Diagnostics: Includes ECG, holter monitoring, event recording, echocardiogram, cardiac CT angiography, and nuclear stress tests. With the new Dunlap Family Outpatient Center addition, St. Clair has added a cardiac-focused testing center that is equipped with the most advanced cardiac diagnostic technology available.

Cardiac MRI: Allows cardiac imaging physician specialists to visualize any scarring of the heart muscle that might indicate a prior heart attack or other condition. Cardiac muscle can be scarred not only by heart attacks, but also by viral infections, infiltrative diseases, or autoimmune diseases that can attack the heart.

Cardiac Cath Lab: With 24-hour emergency service, the lab has treated thousands of patients suffering from heart attacks and holds the distinction of having one of the best treatment times for patients experiencing acute heart attacks. The Cardiac Cath Lab offers patients the most advanced technology for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.

Structural Heart Program: With a multidisciplinary approach and the use of the latest technology—including TAVR, Mitraclip, PFC Closures and Watchman devices, our cardiac experts offer exceptional outcomes for our patients. Our team of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists and other specialists provide you the benefit of their shared expertise in the unique structure of the organ that gives life with every beat.

Electrophysiology: Offers cutting-edge treatments for arrhythmias and other potentially serious disorders affecting the heart’s rhythm. Cardiac electrophysiology examines and treats the heart’s electrical system, which controls the heart’s rhythm.

Cardiac Surgery: Our surgeons offer expert surgical care for heart disease, performing open heart surgery, including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery and structural defects such as valve disease. Using the latest innovations, such as minimally invasive heart surgery with robot-assisted techniques, we’re able to treat complex cases.

Cardiac Rehab & Wellness: St. Clair Health’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Certified AACVPR programs are recognized as leaders in the field of cardiovascular rehabilitation because they offer the most advanced practices available. An interdisciplinary team consisting of a cardiologist, clinical exercise physiologists, and registered nurses develop an individualized treatment plan to help you reach your health and fitness goals utilizing specialized monitoring and exercise equipment.  Our goal is to help you prevent future cardiac problems and help you return to the best physical, mental and emotional health as possible.

St. Clair’s cardiologists and cardiac surgeons are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide scheduled and emergency cardiac care, seamlessly delivered with St. Clair’s longtime reputation for quality, compassionate, personalized care.
