When to seek immediate medical care

See a doctor immediately if:

  • Chilled
  • Dizzy or lightheaded
  • Chest pain
  • Nauseated
  • Body temperature 104 F (40 C) or higher

When to make a doctor's appointment

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Sweating disrupts daily routine
  • Sweating suddenly becomes more profuse
  • Night sweats occur for no apparent reason
