Overview
Unstable angina is a dangerous new onset of pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart (angina) or a change in a person's usual pattern of chest pain or discomfort. Either is a warning sign of a heart attack. Emergency medical attention is needed.
Treatments
Treatment may include hospitalization and a procedure to open clogged blood vessels.
