An abrasion is an injury caused by something that rubs or scrapes against the skin or tissue.

An abrasion can occur from an accident or repeated friction. A minor abrasion will usually stop bleeding on its own.

Treatments

Treatment depends on the affected tissue and typically includes cleaning and bandaging.
