Safe Sleep Education

St. Clair Health is dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of our community all the way down to our newest members. We practice Safe Sleep recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics and Cribs for Kids. By providing a firm supportive mattress, being alone in a crib, and being swaddled, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) risks can be greatly reduced. That’s why we provide sleeps sacks to our families at discharge and review safety information with all care providers. Our nurses and doctors are all trained to provide a safe environment for your newborn, and we look forward to providing you with the best safe practices.
