The Center for Orthopedics at St. Clair Hospital includes a variety of services focused on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Throughout the entire continuum of care, from diagnostic testing to arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery to rehabilitation, St. Clair provides access to leading edge technologies in a compassionate and caring setting.

Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, and care managers develop coordinated treatment plans for each patient to ensure that each individual receives personalized attention and comprehensive care with the ultimate goals of better results and fewer complications.

Service Description

Orthopedic Surgery

Surgical intervention to correct dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, joints, and connecting tissues - like tendons and ligaments). Specializing in procedures such as joint replacement for the hip, knee, or shoulder, rotator cuff repair, knee reconstruction, and fracture care.


Operations involving the spine and spinal cord. Using the latest minimally invasive techniques to reduce pain and improve function of the spinal column.


Total inpatient care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery and/or neurosurgery, provided by specialty trained staff on our dedicated nursing unit.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists are trained to relieve pain and improve movement, strength and function. Through evaluation and individualized treatment programs, physical therapists can treat existing problems, assist in recovery from surgery, and promote wellness.

Occupational Therapy

This therapy includes treatment to promote maximum independence and safety for patients in their day-to-day activities. These include personal hygiene, mobility, vocational and leisure activities.


The diagnosis and treatment of diseases and other disorders of the feet and ankles, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
