Q: What sparked your interest to focus in obstetrics/gynecology?
A: I became interested in OBGYN due to the multi-faceted nature of the field. OBGYN encompasses a woman’s entire life span allowing physicians to build long-standing rapport with their patients. It is also the perfect culmination of primary and surgical care.
Q: What’s your most impactful story whether i.e. patient, role model, inspirational, or educational related?
A: In my final year of medical school, my father was diagnosed with cancer. Despite my years of medical training, nothing compared to the education I would receive from being on the patient end of the medical experience. It forever changed how I viewed the patient experience and how I approach patient care.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about the city of Pittsburgh?
A: My favorite thing about the city of Pittsburgh is the people. The city fosters a deep sense of pride in its history and resilience. This is reflected in the friendly, welcoming demeanor and hardworking spirit of many of the community members.
Q: What’s your favorite holiday?
A: Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is generally a time of gathering and relaxing with family. And the food is the best!
