Q: What sparked your interest to focus in this particular service line?
A: Critical care medicine held a certain allure to me in residency and Pulmonary medicine grew from that.
Q: What makes you excited to teach residents?
A: Teaching benefits both the teacher and the taught. I hope by embarking on this endeavor I will become a both a better physician and person.
Q: What interested you to come work for St. Clair Health?
A: Carrying a strong reputation, independent of the other large organizations in the region, we are in a unique position to serve our community. Shortly after my training ended, a colleague recommended St. Clair as “a place you can stay until you retire”. Nearly a decade later, I am still in St. Clair’s orbit and helping to establish a residency program.
Q: Who was your role model growing up and helped you along the way to get to where you are today?
A: My father, who is still actively practicing Hematology Oncology locally, certainly was my early role model. Though I must give a lion’s share of the credit to all of the educators that I worked directly with through my schooling and training
