The American Hospital Association defines quality care as delivering the right care at the right time in the right setting.  St. Clair Hospital has been meeting and often exceeding those goals as part of its mission to provide its patients the highest level of advanced care possible. Many independent, third-party evaluators have confirmed St. Clair’s quality by awarding the Hospital their top rankings. 

Patient Safety
National accolades for St. Clair Hospital’s patient safety continue. The Leapfrog Group, a national, independent, hospital-safety watchdog, has for the ninth consecutive time, awarded St. Clair an ‘A’ grade in its Hospital Safety Score report. The grades rate how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections.

Patient Satisfaction
National study results confirm that hospital patients fare better when their care is delivered by women and men who are highly competent and kind, in an environment of safety, comfort and healing. St. Clair has long been recognized for those attributes. In an independent survey of patient satisfaction,  patients have given St. Clair superlative ratings. Patient feedback assists St. Clair Hospital in continuing to provide excellent patient care. 

Value and Cost Transparency
St. Clair earned its reputation as a national leader in quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction by instituting best practices throughout its health care system. The Hospital also has proven its mettle as the region’s “best value” health care provider, a claim backed up by St. Clair’s price transparency tool, Patient EstimatesPatient Estimates gives patients the ability to learn, in advance, what their estimated out-of-pocket costs will be for services at St. Clair or the Hospital’s Outpatient centers. Patient Estimates is highly accurate and based on information provided by each patient’s health benefit plan.
