Labor & Delivery 1-2-3 is an abbreviated three-hour childbirth education class that familiarizes expectant parents with the labor and delivery experience. The class reviews the following topics: signs of labor, when to call your doctor, the stages of labor, delivery of a healthy newborn and use of epidurals during labor. Learning is enhanced through group discussion and course materials. Classes are offered as a single three-hour session on a weeknight or weekend. Expectant parents should schedule this class by the second trimester of pregnancy to ensure class availability and complete the program before the 36th week of pregnancy. For additional information, please call 412-942-5877.
