The Family Birth Center at St. Clair Hospital believes that childbirth is a family event and focuses on providing a comfortable, caring and safe environment for all members of the family.

Each of our private LDRP (labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum) rooms is homelike and bright, yet all essential medical equipment is readily available behind attractive oak cabinetry. Two operating rooms are located on the unit for Cesarean section (C-section) deliveries. After your C-section, you will recover with your loved one and your baby in a private, yet monitored, environment. A qualified pediatrician is available 24 hours a day to tend to your newborn's needs. Additionally, the Family Birth Center provides 24-hour anesthesia care. There is a Level 2 Nursery for infants who require extra care.
