Cardiac Rehabilitation
The Heart Center at St. Clair is home to one of the busiest Cardiac Rehabilitation programs in southwestern Pennsylvania, with over 44,000 annual visits.

Following a physician's referral for entry into the program, patients with coronary heart disease or heart failure are carefully evaluated and an exercise prescription is developed for each individual. The Heart Center at St. Clair provides an innovative program involving a variety of specially trained professionals, and combines supervised exercise, education and counseling to help patients return to the best possible physical and social health. The Cardiac Rehab program is accredited by the American Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Primary Prevention/Wellness
The Healthy Heart Primary Prevention/Wellness Program is a comprehensive plan to prevent coronary heart disease or at least slow its progression. A number of studies suggest that modifications in lifestyle are feasible and of benefit in decreasing the events caused by coronary heart disease.

The program is designed for those at-risk of developing cardiovascular disease or for those with high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, who ar overweight or wish to begin a safe, supervised exercise program. As part of our commitment to serving our neighbors, The Heart Center can be contacted for community events and activities. Services provided include blood pressure screening, healthy heart education, cardiac risk assessment, and body mass index. No one is too young or too old to learn ways to lead healthier lives.
