Cancer Support Group

This group is open to cancer survivors and their significant others, and is offered in cooperation with the Cancer Caring Center.  The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. and is facilitated by an oncology nurse and a social worker.  For a list of upcoming programs, visit the Events and Programs section of this Website or call 412.942.5082.

Cancer Survivor and Caregiver pins were created for the St. Clair Hospital Cancer Support Group. Each pin is accompanied by a bookmark that is inscribed with an inspirational message of hope. Breast Cancer Group

Open to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, this group meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. and is facilitated by an oncology nurse and trained volunteers who have personally experienced breast cancer.  For a list of upcoming programs, visit the Events and Programs section of this Website or call 412.942.5082.

First Steps

This program is designed for the newly diagnosed patient following breast cancer surgery. The program meets twice a year for eight weeks from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Physical Therapy Department. The focus is on gentle upper body and arm exercises, and offers instruction in the application of relaxation techniques and coping strategies. Look Good…Feel Better

This is a free, non-medical, product-neutral program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society, the National Cosmetology Association, and the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) Foundation, a charitable organization supported by the cosmetic industry to enhance self-esteem and address the cosmetic side of treatment. Breast Prosthetic Fitting Service

This service offers the convenience of a private consultation and is located at St. Clair Hospital, with certified fitters from K and J’s Complete Woman. Please call 412.835.5093 for an appointment.

Lymphedema Treatment Service

A certified lymphedema therapist provides treatment for chronic lymphedema by utilizing manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercises and skin care. Please contact Occupational Therapy at 412.942.3493.
