About St. Clair

Lifeline Medical Alert

St. Clair Hospital Lifeline Program provides medical alert services insuring fast access to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

When you experience a fall, medical issue, or other emergency, every second counts. If you are alone, delayed medical care can jeopardize your recovery and your independence.

For more than 30 yeas, Lifeline has enabled millions of people to live with greater independence, peace of mind and dignity in the place they feel most comfortable - their own homes. Because the Lifeline service also helps family caregivers to balance the needs of their loved ones with the demands of their own busy lives, Lifeline is of immense benefit to them as well.

Lifeline offers a standard Help Button program or you can take advantgae of an extra layer of protection with AutoAlert, which combines the features of the Help Button with an automatic alert system.

How the Lifeline Service Works

  • Summon help with the "Help Button"
Simply push your Lifeline Help Button at any time to connect to the 24/7 Response Center.
  • Hear a reassuring voice
A Lifeline Response Associate will access your profile and assess the situation.
  • Know help is on the way
An Associate will contact a neighbor, loved one, or emergency services based on your specific needs, and will follow-up to confirm that help has arrived.
  • NEW - for AutoAlert subscribers, an automatic call is placed for help if a fall is detected and you can't push your help button because you are disoriented, immobilized, or unconscious.
